Civil Project Engineer - Land Development & Infrastructure Take the next step in your civil engineering career with a multidisciplinary consulting team where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial design through permitting and construction. We're looking for a Civil Project Engineer with experience in land development and/or water and wastewater infrastructure. You'll work on a diverse mix of residential, commercial, and public infrastructure projects while collaborating with engineers, surveyors, planners, and other design professionals. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design, solving complex site challenges, and taking on increasing project and client responsibility.
What You'll Do:
Design and develop construction plans for residential, commercial, and site development projects Prepare site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, and erosion & sediment control plans Design stormwater management and detention/retention systems Design water distribution, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and other utility infrastructure Assist with roadway, pump station, and force main design Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports and supporting documentation Prepare and coordinate complete construction document packages Support projects through local, state, and other regulatory permitting processes Coordinate project submittals and work with regulatory agencies to obtain approvals and construction permits Collaborate with surveyors, planners, landscape architects, clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders Assist with construction administration and field-related project needs Manage project responsibilities to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 3+ years of civil engineering experience in land development, site design, water/wastewater, or related infrastructure projects Experience preparing construction documents for residential, commercial, municipal, or public infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, water, and sewer design Proficiency with AutoCAD ; experience with Carlson or similar civil design software is a plus Experience with stormwater and hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, Hydraflow, WaterCAD, or similar programs is preferred Understanding of permitting processes and regulatory agency requirements Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team EIT/FE certification or PE license preferred Why Consider This Opportunity?
