We are looking for a Construction Engineer to join our Construction team in our Omaha office. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering, with experience on heavy civil type work including tunnel, structural concrete and excavation.Typical Responsibilities:
- Interpret project plans and specifications
- Schedule and coordinate inspection, testing and survey staff.
- Conduct field inspections and maintain work item quantities
- Maintain project files and record drawings
- Prepare construction reports
- Perform soil erosion control and sediment control inspections
- Review technical data for adherence with project requirements
- Assist with preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Assist with/review scope, budget and schedule of new project tasks.
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist in the preparation of proposals
- Assist Project Managers
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre construction, seminars and/or training classes, etc.
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering
- Field experience in construction inspection
Skills/Experince:
- Experience on heavy civil and tunnel work
- Valid driver's license
- This position requires excellent organizational skills in order to accommodate multiple tasks simultaneously and excellent communications skills when dealing with all individuals at all levels
