Job Description About Us Krech Ojard & Associates Inc (KOA) is an engineering and consulting firm with projects being delivered throughout North America and Globally. With offices located in the US and Canada, our expertise covers Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, and Railroad Design. As a client-first focused team, we are involved in projects from the conceptual level through construction completion at existing facilities and greenfield sites. We are always seeking skilled and adaptive people to become a part of KOA as we continue to grow and expand. About the Role Our Portsmouth Team is currently looking for an experienced Structural Engineer that will develop a diverse portfolio of engineering projects with a focus on the design, construction, and maintenance of complex structural systems. The successful candidate will utilize their experience and expertise to provide solutions to a diverse clientele that includes multinational industry leaders. Your day to day will include: Analysis and design of structural systems and components Knowledge of building and non-building structures and systems Develop and review plans, details, calculations, and specifications of structural systems Direct Engineers-in-Training and technicians in the preparations of proper documentation Site observations and inspection of construction projects Prepare reports and oral presentations for both internal and client use Maintain budget and deadlines to client satisfaction Work within multi-disciplinary terms in varying roles About You Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Professional Engineering License or in process to obtain 2-10 years of post-graduate experience in a structural engineering environment Knowledge of advanced structural engineering principles and practices applied to project design and construction Professionally dedicated to delivering high-quality, well-organized documents to clients Proficiency in relevant structural engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Robot Structural Analysis, RISA, Bluebeam, Navisworks or Similar) Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and clients Consulting engineering experience Relevant project experience in heavy industrial projects such as manufacturing, mining, material handling, power generation, and/or oil & gas Ability to travel (Anticipated travel not to exceed 25%) Valid driver's license and clean driving record What We Offer Comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, 401(k) with a company match Additional benefits include Paid Time Off and Holidays Professional Development and Growth Opportunities Collaborative Work Environment Note to Applicants Some assignments may require visits to construction work sites and industrial facilities that are regulated by OSHA or MSHA.
