Duties Develop and review detailed project plans, schedules, and schematics to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications. Utilize advanced software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, GIS, and Bluebeam for drafting, modeling, and project documentation. Manage construction activities including site inspections, quality assurance, safety protocols, and adherence to design standards. Prepare accurate construction estimates and budgets using construction estimating techniques; monitor project costs throughout execution. Coordinate with stakeholders—clients, contractors, surveyors—and oversee land surveying and geotechnical investigations to gather essential data. Conduct hydraulic modeling using SWMM or HEC software; design water treatment or wastewater systems ensuring system efficiency and compliance. Write comprehensive technical reports and documentation; communicate complex engineering concepts clearly for project proposals and system designs. Skills Proficiency in project scheduling tools to plan and track multiple phases of construction projects effectively. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles including hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, system design, and construction management. Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit for drafting and modeling detailed schematics. Familiarity with GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial analysis; use of HEC software for hydrologic modeling; SWMM for stormwater management. Ability to perform construction inspection ensuring safety standards; manage project management tasks from initiation through completion. Skilled in technical writing for reports, proposals, specifications, and manuals; excellent communication skills for team collaboration. Knowledge of pipeline design, land surveying techniques, water/wastewater treatment processes, and system systematics in civil projects.
