Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Engineer to remotely join our Bridge & Structures team supporting our projects across the country! Our bridge experts partner with our clients to understand project objectives, while formulating solutions that result in successful outcomes that are safe, efficient, economical, and sensitive to the environment. This highly skilled team of professionals offers a full range of bridge services from scoping, planning and preliminary engineering through final design, for small to large-scale bridges. Responsibilities Apply broad knowledge of bridge engineering principles and practices.
Evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.
Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
Prepare complete project documents.
Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedule assignments.
Assist with proposal development for professional services. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
5+ years of bridge design experience is required.
PE license required.
Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads; Civil3D is a plus.
Knowledge of DOT and AASHTO design codes required; knowledge of AREMA design codes is a plus.
Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
