This position is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment to ensure the property operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Building Engineer:

Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and equipment Respond promptly to service requests, building issues, and emergency maintenance situations Support preventative maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, generators, security, access control, BMS, and vertical transportation systems Assist in maintaining facility utilities including gas, electric, sewer, water, phone, and CATV services Conduct routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns Maintain accurate documentation, inspection records, and maintenance reports Assist with inventory control and organization of maintenance parts and supplies Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, company standards, and safety procedures Support the upkeep and appearance of both interior and exterior property conditions Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours emergency coverage Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, supervisors, and team members regarding maintenance issues and completed work Qualifications of the
