Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join a well-established multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm in Livingston, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a technically strong Structural Engineer who enjoys working on a diverse portfolio of building projects and contributing to high-quality design solutions across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural systems for commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and institutional projects. This position involves close collaboration with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient design delivery. Key responsibilities include preparing structural calculations and construction documents, reviewing drawings for code compliance, conducting site visits and field inspections, supporting construction administration activities, and providing technical mentorship to junior engineers. The role also includes involvement in project coordination, planning, and client communication. Requirements Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (must have) Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural focus required (Master's preferred) Experience in structural design of commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use buildings Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design Proficiency with structural analysis and design software Strong understanding of applicable building codes and standards Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams Benefits This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and growing multidisciplinary firm offering long-term career development, technical leadership opportunities, and exposure to a wide variety of building projects.
