About the Role A growing, employee-owned multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Engineer / Project Manager to join its established Bridge & Transportation team in Wall Township, NJ. The firm has flexibility to hire from Project Engineer through Senior Project Manager level , making this an excellent opportunity whether you're a technically strong bridge engineer looking to step into project management or an experienced PM ready to lead major transportation projects. You'll work on bridge replacement, rehabilitation, load rating, roadway, and multidisciplinary transportation projects for NJDOT, transportation authorities, counties, municipalities, and other public-sector clients throughout New Jersey and the Northeast. Responsibilities Perform and/or oversee structural analysis and design for bridge and transportation structures. Deliver bridge replacement, rehabilitation, widening, deck replacement, and structural improvement projects. Prepare and review calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents. Perform bridge load ratings, structural evaluations, inspections, and field investigations. Apply
AASHTO LRFD, NJDOT
, and other applicable agency standards. Coordinate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, environmental, and water resources teams. Support or lead projects from preliminary engineering through final design and construction. Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, QA/QC, and client expectations depending on experience. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Support proposals, scopes, fees, project interviews, and business development. At the senior level, serve as a primary client contact and lead multidisciplinary transportation projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred. 5-15+ years of bridge, structural, or transportation engineering experience. PE license preferred at Project Engineer level and required for senior Project Management positions . Experience with bridge design, rehabilitation, replacement, and/or structural evaluation. Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and NJDOT standards preferred. Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and engineering teams required for PM-level candidates. Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Experience with software such as LEAP Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS, CSiBridge, STAAD , or similar.

Bridge replacement and rehabilitation Deck replacement and widening Steel and prestressed concrete bridges Bridge inspection and load rating Highway and roadway improvements Structural rehabilitation Culverts and pedestrian bridges Multidisciplinary transportation infrastructure What's on Offer Project Engineer salaries from approximately $90,000 - $115,000 , with higher compensation available for experienced PM and Senior PM candidates. Pay:
