Duties, Responsibilities & Other We are seeking to grow our construction engineering team in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. You will be joining our aspirational and enthusiastic team in providing our clients with high quality and complex engineering solutions. We define construction engineering as design consulting services across many aspects of project delivery ranging from construction logistics planning, demolition and shoring design, means and methods, crane and hoist design, steel connections, and site observations. The right candidate will have a background in structural engineering design, with the aptitude of working with contractors on projects that are in the construction phase. In this entry level position, the Engineer will learn to apply a combination of engineering theory and experience to provide our clients with best-for-project solutions. They will be responsible for completing technical design work, communicating ideas and solutions in the form of sketches, compiling design calculations, and attending and documenting site observations.

Responsibilities include:

Perform structural engineering analysis and design of temporary and permanent works.

Complete structural analysis of permanent structures during the construction phase.

Develop and assess construction sequence proposals.

Producing sketches to communicate the design to our clients.

Assists in the preparation of project deliverables, including but not limited to: reports, permit applications, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, field data collection, shop drawing review, calculations, material testing and

BIM/CADD

work.

Performs basic survey work and observes construction activities.

Reviews input from Project or Technical Managers and makes the necessary adjustments and corrections to work product.

Performs work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets. Qualifications Education and/or

Skills Required:

0-2 Years of experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program

General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good communication and technical writing skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically. Education and/or

Work Experience Preferred:

Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field. Certificates, licenses, and/or

Registrations Required:

Valid Driver's License

Ability to maintain required certifications Certificates, licenses, and/or

Registrations Preferred:

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
