The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking dynamic and innovative Engineers (Junior, Assistant or Senior) for civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges and parks, including flood mitigation projects. The positions offer a unique opportunity to impact the shape of the County. You will work with design teams on a range of project types for County residents, from small rehabilitations to large-scale multi-disciplinary new construction. Over the next ten years, the County will undertake important projects for public infrastructure rehabilitations including electrification projects. Depending on the level of the position, you will be performing and overseeing analysis, design, bid documents, budgets, construction, as well as coordination with other County Departments, local municipalities and permitting entities.
Requirements:
The successful candidates will possess a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Higher level positions will require work experience in design and construction projects depending on the level of the position. Experience with the New York State Building Code and other permitting requirements is a plus. Come join our team!
