About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY
This position will facilitate learning for an associate in applied science degrees in the Civil Engineering/Surveying Technologies program. The focus of this instructional position will include teaching courses in Surveying, Land Law, Properties of Soils, and Transportation.
Required Qualifications Education :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or related discipline from an accredited college or university; master's degree highly preferred and will need to be obtained within a reasonable amount of time upon hire. Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree requirement with appropriate approval.
Experience:
Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior. Five (5) years documented successful work experience in related industry. Teaching experience in Higher Education preferred. Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse constituencies. Certifications, Registrations, and/or

Licensure/Certification:
Valid Oklahoma driver's license will be required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle. PLS license preferred. EI licensure as a Professional Engineer preferred. Skills, Proficiencies, and/or
Knowledge:
Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge and skill in the latest technology of the field including AutoCAD, and various software packages found in industry. Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives. Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary. Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment. Ability to work effectively with and promote various populations. Superior interpersonal skills—including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner. Must exhibit characteristics of a team player, willing to take initiative and assume responsibility. Ability to foster and support innovation and excellence.
Communication Skills :
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
