Job Description

Overview As a Civil Engineering Intern/Co-Op for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Pittsburgh, PA office, you'll work with project teams to gain experience and expand your skill set in designing and preparing engineering plans and exhibits for our clients. You'll take part in designing site development projects ranging from urban redevelopments to energy infrastructre projects that shape our region. You will have the opportunity to experience how we interact with clients, contractors, and government officials, and you will experience all phases of projects
  • from the conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review process, bidding, construction, and all the way to ribbon cutting at the grand opening.
Through the CEC Internship Program, you will: Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real-world challenges Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers Qualifications Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil or Environmental Engineering program AutoCAD experience preferred Prior internship and/or design experience a plus Local candidates preferred Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.
