Structural Engineer STV, Inc. dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, parental leave, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) United States, Pennsylvania, Douglassville 205 W Welsh Dr (Show on map) Aug 04, 2026 STV's Buildings Division is seeking an Engineer - Structural to join our Philadelphia or Douglassville office. This role is ideal for a structural engineer with 5-10 years of experience who is ready to take on greater technical responsibility, lead design efforts on building and infrastructure projects, and grow within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of structural systems for a diverse portfolio of public and private-sector building projects, including transportation facilities, municipal buildings, federal buildings, healthcare facilities, and commercial developments - working alongside senior engineers, project managers, and architects throughout all phases of project development. Responsibilities
  • Design structural systems for new construction, renovation, and rehabilitation building projects.
  • Perform structural engineering calculations, analyses, and code compliance reviews.
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, structural reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Utilize Revit/AutoCAD, and structural analysis software to support design and coordination.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and other project disciplines.
  • Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and construction support activities.
  • Review design documents for quality, accuracy, and conformance to applicable codes and standards.
  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and technical coordination efforts.
  • Participate in client and project team meetings as needed.
  • Mentor entry-level engineers and designers while advancing toward project leadership responsibilities. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution, additionally a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of structural engineering design experience for commercial, institutional, municipal, transportation, healthcare, higher education, or government facilities.
  • Experience designing structural systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and/or timber.
  • Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, ETABS, RISA, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes including IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE standards.
  • Experience preparing engineering calculations and construction documents.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • EIT certification required; PE license or active pursuit of licensure preferred.

$104,402.58 - $119,317.24 STV offers the following benefits
