We are seeking a motivated Civil/Structural Designer to support transportation infrastructure projects, including bridges and roadway improvements primarily for PennDOT and similar agencies.

Through an integrated, holistic approach, our professionals provide solutions for building envelope, energy efficiency, sustainability, code advisory and construction advisory projectsSOCOTEC's combination of expertise, experience and methods are increasingly recognized as best-in-class fueling significant growth. SOCOTEC is proud to announce that it has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work by the renowned global authority on workplace culture, Great Place to Work®.Job DescriptionPerform structural design and analysis for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related infrastructureLead or assist with preparation of construction plans, specifications, and design calculationsReview shop drawings and construction submittals for compliance with design intentEvaluate existing structures, including precast and segmental systemsSupport roadway design and traffic control plan preparationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients/agenciesMentor junior staff and provide technical guidanceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering4+ years of relevant experience in structural/bridge designEngineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain)Strong working knowledge of CADD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)Experience with structural analysis tools (e.g., STAAD.Pro or similar)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong understanding of engineering drawings and design standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience with PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, or similar transportation agenciesFamiliarity with
AASHTO LRFD
