Job Description
We have partnered with a fast-growing, p/e owned company on their search for a hands-on Tax Manager with proven knowledge of U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related responsibilities within the organization ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. This role will involve managing the company's tax planning and reporting activities, identifying tax-saving opportunities, advising on M&A projects, preparing quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, assisting with tax due diligence, and coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors. To be successful in this role, the Tax Manager must have in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Timely preparing and filing of all tax returns
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly projections
- Develop tax strategies
- Prepare tax account journal entries
- Review and analyze financial statements
- Implement best practices and improvements
- Coordinate tax audits
- Review staff tax transactions
- Oversee special tax related projects The ideal Tax Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. Other requirements for the Tax Manager role include and are not limited to:
- CPA or EA a MUST
- 7+ years of Tax experience
- Corporate and individual tax experience
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws/regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
