Job Description
Key functions of this position:
Provide technical support to Composites Group (CCG) sales staff & CCG utilities product lines. Increase & expand existing account volumes for both OEM & distribution by assisting Sales/Marketing Departments w/ technical calculations. Perform Finite Element Analysis through knowledge of design concepts to aid in development of products for CCG & their customers. Develop necessary glass & carbon fiber architectures as required to meet minimum performance requirements. Perform experiments & conduct lab tests necessary for product design & development. Design secondary systems necessary to complement product lines. Actively attend & participate in trade shows/conferences. Work closely w/ Marketing to develop new products to expand CCG markets (i.e. design & strength analysis of new profiles). Represent CCG on field visits w/ customers & business prospects.Absolute Minimum requirements include:
Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering, experience w/ stress analysis via FEA/Beam/Frame analysis, AutoDesk Inventor, RISA 3-D & FEA modeling software; awareness of FRP materials/applications; exp w/ American building codes, Eurocodes & British standards; exp in CAD.
