Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Project Engineer for our client's team. This position is within the civil engineering industry, focused on residential structural design and construction documentation. The role involves supporting various project phases by creating detailed structural plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
Develop structural designs and prepare construction documents such as roof, floor, and foundation plans. Prepare structural details and specifications. Review drawings for accuracy and ensure compliance with relevant codes. Perform structural calculations, review shop drawings, and support field repairs. Handle permit applications and plan reviews. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, drafters, and architecture teams to facilitate project progress. Maintain clear and professional communication throughout all project phases.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited). Passed or working towards passing the Fundamentals Exam (FE) through NCEES. General knowledge of residential structural systems and construction methods. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation:
Salary range up to $85,000.00 annually.
