The Project Engineer is responsible for effectively, efficiently, and safely fulfilling all technical and administrative responsibilities associated with residential and accessory/amenity unit structural engineering projects. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited). Passed or working toward passing Fundamentals Exam (FE) through NCEES. General knowledge of residential structural systems and construction methods. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. This position may require additional hours above 40 hours per week to meet deadlines as needed and is part of your full-time employment responsibilities. Position Summary As a Project Engineer, you will design and coordinate residential structural engineering projects from concept through completion, combining technical design expertise with project management and client communication responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Technical Design & Documentation Develop structural designs and prepare construction documents (roof, floor, foundation plans). Prepare structural details and specifications. Review drawings for accuracy and code compliance. Additional areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to are structural calculations, shop drawing reviews, field repairs, permit and plan review responsibilities Project Coordination Manage multiple concurrent projects. Maintain schedules and meet production deadlines. Maintain accountability for timelines and deliverables. Client & Team Coordination Collaborate with other Engineers, Project Managers, Structural Drafters, and the Architecture Department as needed on shared client/project work. Maintain timely and professional communication throughout all project phases.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
