Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Stormwater Engineer to join our team and lead innovative stormwater management projects. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing stormwater systems that effectively control runoff, prevent flooding, and protect the environment. Your expertise will drive the development of sustainable infrastructure solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while delivering high-quality results. This position offers an opportunity to apply your civil engineering skills to impactful projects that shape resilient communities. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of stormwater management systems utilizing advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD. Conduct hydrological modeling and hydraulic analysis using tools like SWMM, HEC-RAS, Hydrologic analysis tools, and Hydrologic Engineering Centers (HEC) software to optimize system performance. Manage project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects from conception through permitting phase involvement. Prepare detailed technical engineering reports, schematics, and system design documentation that clearly communicate project scope and technical solutions. Oversee construction management activities including construction inspection, site supervision, and quality assurance to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members to facilitate permitting processes and maintain open communication throughout project lifecycles. Utilize GIS platforms such as ArcGIS for land surveying, geotechnical engineering assessments, and land use planning related to stormwater infrastructure. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience managing civil infrastructure projects with a focus on stormwater management systems. Strong proficiency in CAD software. Hands-on experience with hydrological modeling tools such as SWMM and HEC software suites; familiarity with water treatment processes is a plus. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, construction management, and construction inspection roles within civil engineering environments. Knowledge of permitting phases involving environmental agencies and local authorities; experience managing projects through these stages is highly valued. Excellent technical writing skills for generating reports and documentation; effective client communication abilities are essential. Skilled in GIS applications like ArcGIS for land surveying, geotechnical assessments, and system design planning. Strong understanding of hydraulics, system design principles for stormwater systems, and land surveying techniques. Ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously; a proactive approach to problem-solving is essential.
