Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a CAE Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidatewillleadstructural CAE analysis for high-voltage battery systems to ensure durability, performance, and compliance with design requirements.
Rate Range:
$40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
CAE Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Perform structural CAE analysis for high-voltage battery components to ensure durability, safety, and performance under various operating conditions. Develop and validate detailed simulation models using tools such as ABAQUS, HyperMesh, and related CAE software. Collaborate with design and release engineers to optimize battery structures based on simulation results and testing data. Conduct non-linear analysis, fatigue assessments, and material behavior studies to improve structural integrity. Correlate CAE models with physical test data and refine simulations for enhanced accuracy and reliability. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in simulation techniques, tools, and battery structural design processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Structural Engineering (master's preferred). 4+ years of experience in structural design and CAE analysis, preferably in battery or automotive applications. Strong expertise in CAE tools such as ABAQUS, HyperMesh, nCode/fe-safe, and 3DEXPERIENCE for structural modeling and simulation.
