Job Description SummaryThe Lead MEP Site Engineer is Responsible for Site MEP construction, installation & coordination of HVAC, FF/FA, SPL, Plumbing and security activities at company project's (Substations, HVDC, SVC, STATCOM,...) during OTR phase and participating in ITO phase as assigned.
Job Description Key Responsibilities Actively manage Site MEP construction, testing & commissioning activities ( HVAC, FF/FA, SPL, Plumbing and security activities) during project OTR phase and participation in ITO phase as needed, including but not limited to Control of Subcontractors progress and oversight/planning of Site resources, reporting, liaise with other project stakeholders (e.g. Client, Site Consultant, Project Management, Civil works, CW/MEP Engineering, EHS, Quality,..etc).Utilize & develop in-depth knowledge of MEP technical aspects. Use prior experience and acquire technical expertise to execute the construction strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish Estimation and execution works.
Supervise & inspect MEP works execution maintaining QA/QC and EHS requirements including ability to carry out MEP items QS/take-off and invoices validationPrepare and timely provide Site Reports/documentation and accurate internal and external reports (Daily, Bi Weekly, Monthly, 3 weeks lookahead Incidents, PTW, QA/QC..etc).Understand Contractual T&C (Terms and Conditions) commitmentsEnsure contractual obligations are met and attend technical & progress meetings internal as well as with Customers.
Ensure all in-Site activities are carried out safely complying with company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.
Provide expert consultation on complex projects.
Planning; possibly recommending and administering policies and procedures.
In-depth knowledge of scope identification, specification & claims analysisAbility and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by Site assignments.
Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
Support the business growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/electrical/civil).Minimum of 8 years of experience in 380kv Substation and other power projectsStrong knowledge in MEP works construction, Testing & commissioning include liaison with Civil and electrical equipment installation activities.
Strong knowledge in MEP works Codes, standards, QS/take-off & resources planning/Estimate SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) C2 certificate Desired Characteristics Has the knowledge and skill to actively support site visits, missions, presentations & be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise.
Ability to work in sites south of Saudi ArabiaAbility to understand and implement technical drawings (wiring diagram, P&ID, General Arrangement, etc...).Strong computer skills using Auto
Excellent written and oral communication skills, to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnelFluency in Arabic is a plusAbility to work under pressure; Take ownership of onsite activitiesWilling to travel, relocate in country and worldwide, and to work over-timeStrong analytic and problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal skills.
