We are an established and award-winning civil engineering firm seeking an experienced Municipal Engineer / Project Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of impactful public infrastructure projects from roadway and stormwater improvements to parks, athletic facilities, and utility systems while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule (one day in the office, the rest remote). If you're a motivated engineer who enjoys managing municipal projects from concept to completion and values a culture of autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility, this role is a great fit. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a variety of municipal engineering projects, including design, permitting, and construction administration. Oversee public contracts and ensure project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are achieved. Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients, maintaining strong professional relationships. Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and field staff. Prepare and review plans, specifications, cost estimates, and grant or permit applications. Support the planning and execution of roadway, stormwater, water, sewer, and recreational facility projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 7+ years of experience in municipal or public infrastructure projects (10+ preferred). EIT certification required; NJ PE license preferred (or ability to obtain). Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with experience in project estimating, bidding, and permitting. Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management skills. Organized and proactive - comfortable balancing hands-on design work with project management and client engagement.
