Salary:
$55,000-$70,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus opportunities About Us We are a rapidly growing fire protection engineering and construction company specializing in the design, engineering, BIM coordination, and installation of fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, mixed-use, and institutional projects throughout the Washington metropolitan area. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and career-driven individual to join our team as a Project Engineer / Project Coordinator . This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in engineering, project management, BIM coordination, and construction while working alongside experienced professionals on a wide variety of challenging projects. Key Responsibilities Design and draft fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD. Prepare coordination, fabrication, and installation drawings. Review architectural and engineering drawings for coordination and constructability. Prepare technical submittals, cut sheets, RFIs, and engineering documentation. Support field personnel by providing technical and engineering assistance. Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, owners, and subcontractors. Assist with project planning, scheduling, and monitoring construction progress. Participate in project meetings and perform occasional site visits. Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules. Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Support the Project Manager throughout all phases of construction. Process owner billings and assist with project-related administrative and accounting tasks. Help ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Revit experience is a plus. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with construction practices, codes, and engineering standards is preferred. Recent engineering and construction graduates are encouraged to apply. Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary ($55,000-$70,000 annually).
