Who We Are:
MLRD Group is a newly founded engineering firm providing design and consulting services to clients across the Carolinas. We focus on structural design and building science consulting for residential, commercial, multi-family, and industrial structures. About theRole:
We are looking for a client-facing engineer to join the team and assist with the structural design and in-the-field consulting projects. Some facets of this role include: Local travel expected weekly. Some overnight travel will be required for larger projects. Full compensation provided for all travel expenses. Research applicable codes and standards. Perform load analysis on different materials such as wood, concrete, steel, masonry, etc. Assist with meeting deadlines. Discuss project schedules and expectations with clients. Continuing education is encouraged and may be compensated. Assist with the growth strategy of a newly founded firm. Salary will be based on experience. Requirements For theRole:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Project management and self-management skills. B.S. in Engineering. Reliable vehicle. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, STAAD, or other similar analysis software. Experience with ICC publications. 0-5 years of experience. EIT required at a minimum. PE preferred.Physical requirements include:
ability to climb a ladder, lift 30 pounds, and work in tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.Benefits:
