This firm handles complex, non-standard structural projects — retrofits, alternative materials, and R D work — and offers a genuine mentorship-driven culture with room to build your own book of business.
Pay:
$130,000-$220,000/year based on experience and licensure, plus bonus
Schedule:
Full-time, ~40 hours/week (every other Friday off)
Location:
Mishawaka, IN (South Bend area) preferred; hybrid/remote possible for the right candidate anywhere in the U.S. (Eastern time hours). Relocation assistance available. Lead structural design projects from proposal through completion; sign and seal Mentor junior engineers (2-3 direct reports at the senior level) Solve non-standard structural problems across steel, wood, concrete, masonry, and composites Contribute to R D, code-writing, and technical publications
Requirements:
6-15+ years of structural engineering experience PE required (SE preferred, especially for the higher end of the pay range) Comfortable working outside standard codes on unique, non-cookie-cutter projects Strong communicator, comfortable pushing back and guiding clients
