We are looking for a hardworking, highly motivated individual that takes initiative, is willing to learn new things, is a team player, has attention to detail, and enjoys solving complex, challenging engineering problems. You will be responsible for working on all facets of civil and structural engineering projects, including structural inspection, conceptual planning, analysis, design, and construction oversight. About Us Horizon Engineering, LLC delivers successful infrastructure projects across the Gulf Coast region. We provide civil, structural, and environmental engineering services from conceptual planning through construction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field from an ABET accredited college or university is required (Master's degree with specialization in Structural Engineering is preferred). Engineer Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is required (registration in Louisiana is preferred). Proficiency in common engineering, structural analysis, drafting, and/or construction management software is preferred, such as Microsoft Excel, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and HeadLight. Knowledge of local/state requirements is preferred. Compensation and Benefits Approximate salary range is $100,000 to $130,000 for a PE and $65,000 to $85,000 for an EI. Compensation is negotiable and will be commensurate with expertise, experience, and qualifications. Prepare plans, specifications, and opinions of probable construction cost. Manage design and construction projects, including coordination with clients and other project stakeholders, scheduling, and overseeing other staff, such as engineers, drafters, and inspectors. Anticipated Start Date Fall 2026 Work Hours and Location Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at our Metairie, Louisiana office. Flexible hours and hybrid work options are available.
