This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential, commercial, and industrial structural engineering projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with codes and high quality designs. As a key member of our engineering team, you will utilize your technical expertise and project management skills to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs and project deadlines. You will function as engineer-of-record on projects and reports, Your energetic approach will drive project success and foster collaboration with cross-functional teams. Develop, review, and refine structural designs using engineering experience aided by structural software including Enercalc and RISA. Manage project schedules effectively, coordinating tasks across teams to ensure timely delivery of design milestones. Perform site studies for structural observation, existing structural evaulation, and forensic investigation as required. Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and documentation to support design decisions and project proposals. Collaborate closely with geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, construction teams, and clients to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met. Oversee drawing creation, shop drawing review, and multidiscipline coordination including during construction by using Bluebeam, and conducting site investigations as required, Utilize GIS data and geotechnical engineering principles to inform foundation design, site assessments, and system integration efforts. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Professional engineering (PE) licensure with the ability to become licensed in additional jurisdictions. Preference will be given to candidates with a structural engineering (SE) license. Proven experience in project engineering with civil and structural projects. Experience in civil engineering with hydrologic and hyrdraulic projects will give the team member additional opportunities. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam for working in structural drawings. Strong knowledge of project scheduling tools and techniques for effective timeline management. Familiarity with structural modeling software such as RISA, Bentley, CSI, or a combination of the three. The ideal candidate will have experience with at least two different structural modeling software packages, Excellent technical writing skills for preparing reports, specifications, and construction documents. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of construction processes and civil engineering principles related to infrastructure development.
