We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative work environment and are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a skilled Structural Engineer to design, consult, and provide detailing for building projects of all types. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the full product development cycle and capable of collaborating with multi-disciplined teams to ensure products meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Job duties for this position will include structural engineering design, consulting, and detailing for building projects of all types. The candidate should have knowledge of designing with various building materials including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, heavy timber, and light gauge steel. They will also be responsible for creating complete construction documents and specification packages. The candidate will either lead structural drafters or self-perform the drafting and modeling using Autodesk Revit on all projects. In addition to structural design and detailing, they will be expected to perform field inspections, job site visits, and inspection reports on a periodic basis as needed. Lastly, the structural engineer will be expected to maintain and foster relationships with existing clients on any projects they have been assigned which includes meeting all client requirements and deadlines.
Qualifications:
3 - 8 years of experience in structural engineering and consulting. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Structural Engineering Professional Engineering License in the state of Tennessee EIT Certification a minimum If not licensed, the candidate must be able to sit for the exam within 1-2 years Proven experience as a Structural Engineer Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, as well as other software like: RAM, Risa 3D, GTStrudl, and Enercalc Experience with 3D structural modeling and design software preferred Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork abilities Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols Candidate must also have experience utilizing the following structural codes:
ASCE7, AISC 360, AISC 341, ACI 318, ACI 530, AISI
S100, and the family of codes from the International Codes Council (IBC, IEBC, & IRC)
