Taylor, TX / West Lafayette, IN / Plano, TX About This Opportunity We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a major Korean multinational corporation with large-scale operations in the semiconductor / industrial construction industry, currently executing large-scale projects at multiple sites across the United States. This is a direct-hire, full-time position — selected candidates will be hired directly onto our client's team as permanent employees, not through a staffing or contract arrangement. Depending on your experience, background, and location preference, you may be considered for one of several active openings with this client. About the Role We are seeking bilingual (Korean/English) Project Engineers to support large-scale industrial and semiconductor construction projects. This role acts as the essential communication bridge between Korean engineering/ownership teams and U.S.-based field operations — walking the job site daily, identifying issues, and relaying accurate, timely information between the field and project leadership. This is an on-site, hands-on role for someone comfortable moving between the construction site and the office, coordinating across disciplines (mechanical, fire protection, electrical, civil, etc.), and communicating confidently with both Korean and American stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Site Communication & Coordination:
Serve as the daily on-site liaison between subcontractors, engineers, and project management/ownership. Provide Korean-English interpretation during meetings, site walks, and day-to-day communications. Translate technical documents (drawings, specifications, submittals, correspondence) as needed. Facilitate meetings, capture minutes, and distribute updates across teams.
Progress, Issue & Risk Management:
Monitor daily construction progress against the master schedule. Proactively identify technical discrepancies, site constraints, or schedule risks and escalate to leadership with recommended solutions. Support real-time resolution of on-site issues.
Documentation & Submittals:
Review and manage shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs for accuracy and compliance with specifications. Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records and correspondence logs. Track document revisions and ensure proper distribution/version control.
Subcontractor & Work-Front Management:
Coordinate on-site activities of subcontractors and trade partners. Secure and manage work fronts by collaborating across departments (mechanical, electrical, civil, fire protection, etc.).
Quality & Safety Oversight:
Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality. Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety protocols; report non-conformance to supervisors. Qualifications Professional bilingual fluency in Korean and English (written and spoken). Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related STEM field. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and PDF tools. . Authorization to work in the United States.
