full-time Commercial Construction Project Engineer Watts Construction At Watts Construction, we are looking for a Project Engineer who wants to grow, lead, and be part of building meaningful commercial projects with a team that values professionalism, collaboration, and intentional excellence. We are looking for someone who understands the pace of commercial construction and can confidently support project execution from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities Manage and track RFIs from initiation through resolution Process and maintain submittals and submittal logs Assist in leading and documenting OAC meetings Support project managers and superintendents with daily project coordination Maintain accurate project documentation and communication with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors Track procurement items, long lead materials, and schedule impacts Assist with budgeting, change management, and project reporting Help ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and moving forward proactively Required Experience Commercial construction project engineering experience Strong understanding of: RFIs Submittals OAC meetings and documentation Ability to communicate professionally with owners, architects, subcontractors, and field teams Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Procore Construction management, engineering, or related degree preferred Experience supporting large commercial construction projects What We Value We are looking for culture drivers - people who support their teams, communicate professionally, take ownership, and push to continually improve.
