We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Arlington, VA office as part of our Federal Buildings & Infrastructure team. Collaborating with our expert architects and engineers, you'll design structural systems for a variety of building types including airports, government and mission-critical facilities, data centers, and large-scale manufacturing facilities. You will lead technical efforts, mentor team members, and manage concept-to-completion project delivery while balancing structural scope, schedule, and budget. As a senior engineer, you will participate in quality control reviews, interdisciplinary coordination reviews, and value engineering studies, and you will help establish design standards for use across offices and regions. Master's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis 8+ years of relevant buildings-related structural design experience Professional Engineer (PE) license Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM) Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE) Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff Experience with construction support services Demonstrated independent initiative and ownership of work United States citizenship Ideally, you'll also have: Structural Engineer (SE) license Familiarity with Federal client standards and project delivery requirements Familiarity with design-build or early contractor involvement delivery methods United States security clearance, or the ability to obtain LI-IR1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
