IDR is seeking a Building Engineer to join one of our top clients for an onsite opportunity in Chantilly, VA. This role involves maintaining and operating all mechanical and electrical systems within a high-availability data center environment. The position provides critical support to ensure the smooth functioning of facility operations on a 12-hour shift schedule. Position Overview for the
Building Engineer:
The Building Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and operation of mechanical and electrical systems in a complex data center environment. Provides assistance to external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and mechanical projects. Supports facility safety policies and participates in safety training and initiatives. Works on a 12-hour shift schedule, contributing to the reliability and safety of critical data center facilities. Reports to the Facilities Manager and ensures operational excellence of the building systems. Requirements for the
Building Engineer:
2-5 years of electrical and mechanical experience working in high availability environments like data centers, manufacturing, or hospitals. Experience with electric/pneumatic controls operation. Assist in the formulation, implementation, and adherence to safety policies and procedures. Participation in safety, knowledge, and skills training. CFC refrigeration license a plus.
