The Professional Engineer plays a pivotal role overseeing design and ensuring the QA/QC process for work performed by the design team. The position involves direct engineering involvement, applying technical knowledge to execute projects safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically. The Engineer evaluates and estimates design work, contributes to design and project management of complex projects when necessary, checks cable sizing, voltage drop, flicker, and performs system modeling as needed. The role coordinates and schedules design resources and is responsible for engineering design aspects of assigned projects. The Engineer must maintain a Professional Engineer license in Virginia and stamp drawings when required. Requirements- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related degree required.
- Professional Engineer license in the State of Virginia; must be willing to obtain licenses in other states.
- Adherence to QA/QC processes and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards in telecom and civil engineering.
- Ability to independently plan and schedule work with focus on designs for large and/or complex systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
