Job Description
System Design Engineer We are seeking a bright, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a System Design Engineer . This role supports the design and coordination of building systems while working closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams. Responsibilities include system design and drafting, construction document review, coordination, technical support, and project documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to develop practical engineering and construction experience while building a strong foundation in system design and project delivery. Responsibilities Design and draft building systems using AutoCAD Prepare coordination and fabrication drawings Review construction documents, specifications, and design requirements Prepare cut sheets, RFIs, and other technical documentation Provide engineering and technical support to project managers and field personnel Coordinate design requirements with project managers, contractors, and other trades Assist with project planning and scheduling based on construction progress Review field conditions and assist with resolving design and coordination issues Visit construction sites and attend project meetings as needed Prepare and maintain engineering and construction documentation Assist with material takeoffs, procurement, and material coordination Track and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders Assist with project coordination throughout the construction process Monitor project schedules and assist in maintaining project deadlines Support project managers with project-related administrative and technical tasks Assist with project cost tracking, owner billings, and other project accounting activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit experience is a plus Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and industry practices Willingness to learn technical design standards and construction processes Recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply Ability to travel to project sites, primarily within the Baltimore and
