Job Description
Civil Project Engineer -
This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineer who enjoys taking ownership of technical design while also developing toward greater project management, client-facing, and leadership responsibilities.
The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of a variety of civil infrastructure projects across utility infrastructure, roadway, stormwater, water and sewer systems, grading, site development, and natural gas infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and deliver civil engineering designs from concept through construction.
Support projects involving roadway, water, stormwater, sanitary sewer, utilities, grading, and site development.
Provide technical design and engineering support across multiple concurrent projects.
Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, internal engineering teams, and other disciplines.
Assist with project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
Support client communication and project coordination.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Contribute to business development and the development of long-term client relationships.
Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, permitting requirements, and client expectations.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Approximately 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington and/or Oregon.
Strong experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.Experience with utility design, grading, site development, roadway, stormwater, water, or sewer infrastructure.
Experience delivering civil engineering projects in Washington.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred ExperienceNatural gas utility infrastructure design.
Client-facing project experience.
Experience mentoring junior engineers or designers.
Exposure to project management, budgeting, scheduling, or proposal development.
