- Tukwila, WA Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world's top-recognized brands and companies, is actively seeking a Staff (Civil/ Geotechnical) Engineer
- Construction to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc.
- Construction is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
- $90,000.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/ Geotechnical Engineering is required Knowledge in civil engineering fundamentals and soil mechanics Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication Ability to periodically work off shifts and overtime Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance Ability to kneel and squat occasionally Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold) Ability to climb and work at heights occasionally May travel overnight occasionallyPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:
Engineer-in-Training Certificate is highly preferred Experience working in a DOT jobs is preferred Experience performing construction materials testing is preferred 3 to 5 years of construction materials testing, or civil/ geotechnical engineering experience is highly preferredIntertek:
