If that sounds like the career you've been looking for, let's talk. The Role As a Construction Field Engineer, you are our eyes, standards, and judgment on the ground. You walk the work, catch what others miss, and make the call before a small issue becomes an expensive one. It's hands-on, it's high-trust, and it's the strongest launch pad we have toward a future Project Superintendent seat. What You'll Do Conduct daily inspections using CapVest's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), making educated corrections where needed Post daily logs in Buildertrend to document progress and quality Oversee and complete punch lists for projects nearing close-out Complete tenant work orders while projects are still under construction department warranty Help uphold site safety and compliance with OSHA and company standards Maintain a clean, organized job site — the kind you'd be glad to walk a client through unannounced Construction Management Software Accountabilities Review project schedules Manage and complete tasks Post daily logs Conduct daily safety inspections What You Bring Education & Knowledge Five plus years of construction and project experience Knowledge of construction processes and the ability to identify and diagnose quality issues Ability to complete hands-on tasks or minor repairs when needed (drywall, paint, trim, etc.) Proficiency operating current computer programs A bachelor's or associate degree in construction management or equivalent is a plus Experience & Skills Goal-oriented, flexible, and able to function as an integral part of a team Strong organizational and excellent problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and co-workers Strong verbal and written communication (bilingual is a plus), comprehension, reasoning, and decision-making skills Valid driver's license Must be able to move and transport objects up to 50 pounds and position self to complete required tasks Who Thrives Here We are direct about our expectations, because the people who fit here want to know what they're being measured against: Professionalism you don't have to be reminded about — quality of work, punctuality, attendance, and attitude Dependability, good judgment, and organization as second nature Initiative and genuine curiosity about the craft; you take the educational opportunities we put in front of you Positive working relationships with your peers, and the qualities that make people want to work with you Comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced setting — able to excel on your own and inside a tight-knit crew A desire to grow into a Project Superintendent role Our Core Values Our core values are everything at CapVest.   • Personable Schedule & Work Environment CapVest office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m
  • 5:00 p.m., with specific schedules set by your supervisor to meet business demands Additional hours as needed to maintain project schedules Primarily on project construction sites; depending on the project, this may include non-standard workplaces Occasional time at the office and warehouse Compensation & Benefits $55,000
