This is a technical and project leadership role designed for a licensed Professional Engineer with 10+ years of experience who can independently lead complex geotechnical projects, drive engineering design, perform high-level technical reviews, and mentor junior staff. The Role Operating out of our Milwaukee office, you will serve as both technical lead and project reviewer across a diverse range of civil and geotechnical projects. You will oversee projects from initial proposal and scope development through complex engineering analysis to final report sign-off, ensuring solutions are safe, budget-conscious, and fully compliant with state and local standards.
Schedule:
Typically, Monday-Friday, standard business hours, with occasional field visits or client meetings outside standard hours based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities Advanced Engineering Analysis:
Perform and review complex geotechnical engineering calculations, including shallow/deep foundation design, slope stability analysis, settlement evaluations, ground improvement methods, and retaining structures.
Project and Client Management:
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables across multiple concurrent projects; maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and contractors.
Report Authoring and Review:
Author, review, and seal (PE) detailed geotechnical engineering reports providing authoritative foundation, seismic, and earthwork recommendations.
Subsurface Exploration Leadership:
Design and direct comprehensive subsurface investigation programs, specifying boring plans, sampling schedules, and advanced field testing.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
Guide, train, and manage staff engineers and field technicians, providing technical oversight and reviewing daily data sheets and engineering models.
Business Development Support:
Lead proposal preparation, scope definitions, fee estimates, and qualifications packages for prospective public and private projects. Preferred Certifications and Expertise Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Extensive experience and familiarity with WisDOT standards, specifications, and project reporting workflows. Certifications or practical experience related to construction materials testing oversight (e.g., ACI, NICET). Why Join Us?

Compensation and Benefits Salary:
