Job Title:

Manufacturing Site EngineerJob Description The Manufacturing Site Engineer drives ongoing process improvement initiatives across the full manufacturing value chain. This role focuses on developing and enhancing manufacturing processes and product quality by analyzing products and production methods, identifying opportunities for improvement, and collaborating closely with manufacturing personnel to ensure that improvement plans are effectively implemented. Responsibilities

+ Coordinate and partner with Operations to plan, organize, and execute capital projects, including managing outages, contractors, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient completion.

+ Contribute to facility transformation efforts, technology transfer activities, and the ongoing maintenance of mixed-model production lines or value streams.

+ Ensure the continued success of process improvement initiatives by creating, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and detailed process documentation.

+ Implement demand-driven principles and strategies that support operational excellence and long-range business plans, with a focus on flexibility, speed, and responsiveness.

+ Generate and contribute innovative ideas that improve business results, operational efficiency, and product quality.

+ Deploy standard tools, methodologies, standards, practices, and processes used within the organization to support consistent engineering and operational performance.

+ Define and implement continuous improvement objectives that enhance customer satisfaction and fulfillment performance.

+ Design and manage area layouts and process definitions to optimize material flow, ergonomics, and production efficiency.

+ Lead PLC programming activities and oversee the design, selection, justification, and implementation of equipment, programs, and tooling to support manufacturing operations.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering solutions align with safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

+ Monitor performance metrics and use data-driven analysis to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.

+ Support training and guidance for production and maintenance teams on new processes, equipment, and standards. Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology. + 3-5 years of related experience in an engineering function within a similar manufacturing environment. + 3-5 years of experience in the engineering field, working directly with manufacturing processes and equipment.

+ Hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, including process development and optimization.

+ Proven experience managing capital projects within a manufacturing setting.

+ Proficiency with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, and experience using CAD tools to design layouts, fixtures, and tooling.

+ Ability to drive efficiency improvements and measurable results through engineering initiatives.

+ Experience with PLC programming and integration of equipment into production processes.

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective collaboration with operations and production teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or ProE.

+ Knowledge of lean principles and process improvement methodologies.

+ Experience leading and coordinating diverse project teams in a manufacturing environment.

+ Familiarity with demand-driven operational strategies focused on flexibility, speed, and responsiveness.

+ Ability to develop and maintain process documentation, policies, and procedures.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach.

+ Demonstrated ability to contribute innovative ideas that enhance business performance. Work Environment This role operates in a dynamic manufacturing environment that includes mixed-model production lines and evolving value streams. The Manufacturing Site Engineer works closely with operations, production, maintenance, and contractors to support capital projects and process improvements. The position involves regular use of engineering and CAD software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ProE, as well as PLC programming interfaces and various manufacturing equipment and tooling. Work typically occurs on-site in a plant setting where attention to safety, quality, and operational efficiency is essential. The engineer may spend time both in office areas for planning, analysis, and documentation, and on the production floor for implementation, observation, and troubleshooting. Standard business hours generally apply, with flexibility required during project execution, outages, and equipment installations. Attire is typically appropriate for a manufacturing environment, balancing professional appearance with safety requirements such as protective gear when working on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Oshkosh, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
