ROLE OVERVIEW
The Thrasher Group is seeking an experienced Bridge Project Engineer to join our Transportation Division. The ideal candidate is a motivated engineering professional ready to take on greater project responsibility, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the growth of our bridge practice across the Mid-Atlantic region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the design and development of bridge projects including steel and concrete superstructures, substructures, and retaining walls Perform and check structural analysis and design calculations Oversee plan development, quantity calculations, and construction cost estimates Conduct QA/QC reviews of project documents and calculations Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and agency personnel Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff Support business development efforts including proposal preparation and client presentations
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
BS or MS from an ABET accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering 5-10 years of applicable bridge engineering experience PE licensure in WV or OH required or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe Proven experience with design of all bridge components in accordance with
AASHTO LRFD
Proficiency in OpenRoads and/or MicroStation Experience with bridge design software for structural components Experience with WVDOH and/or ODOT project development processes Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
