Clarificion from the agency Applicant within the Florida Nional Guard Military members Duties Help As a Engineering Technician, GS-0802-09 you will coordine the work of technicians, Ste employees, contract employees, temporary and seasonal employees and military personnel of all activities and units engaged in minor construction, maintenance and repair functions the training site on a year-round basis; direct activities pertaining to planning, programming and executing of: construction, alterion, conversion maintenance and repair of the site's physical plant, including buildings, utilities, roads, parking and storage areas, bridges and other structures; and, the operion of utility systems, including electrical, wer, sewage, storm drainage, heing, air conditioning, refrigerion and ventiling systems; conduct technical inspection of all types of facilities in need of maintenance or repair to determine merials required for minor construction projects to be accomplished by troop labor; inspect maintenance and repair projects by measuring reference to similar jobs; review staff engineer estimes, as well as ensure availability of merials and cost to accommode the work; conduct construction inspections to ensure contractor compliance with engineering plans, specificions, contractual obligions, and governing laws and regulions; follow approprie procedures to report contractual deficiencies; assist activity and military unit supervisors in effecting on-the-job training for their personnel by helping to establish task lists of practical projects in minor construction, maintenance and repair of facilities of the training site. : GS09. Must have least one year of specialized experiences the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a working knowledge of Nional Guard missions, organizions, and federal civilian or military personnel programs; experience, educion, or training with knowledge of basic standard engineering principles, methods and practices; experience reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specificions; experience planning, scheduling and supervising; exercising initiive and sound judgment; experience using a variety of inspection techniques and practices to determine compliance with plans and specificions.
