Job Description

Develops civil engineering construction plans, technical calculations, reports, and permit documentation for residential development projects using Civil 3D and related design software. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Approximately 18 months to 2 years of civil engineering experience. Current Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain EIT certification within 1 year of employment. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ability to perform independent CAD production, including sheet setup and layer management. Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, or comparable hydrologic or wastewater analysis software. Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, or comparable PDF markup software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience preparing civil engineering plans, calculations, and technical documentation. Preferred Skills Experience supporting multifamily development projects. Experience supporting single-family residential development projects. Experience with hydrologic and stormwater analyses. Experience with water and sanitary sewer utility design. Experience preparing grading, erosion control, and site development plans. Job Responsibilities Develop civil engineering construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform CAD production, including sheet setup, layer management, drawing creation, and plan revisions. Prepare technical calculations, engineering reports, and permit documentation. Perform hydrologic and stormwater analyses. Develop site grading plans and earthwork calculations. Prepare erosion and sedimentation control plans. Develop tree management and landscaping plans. Design utility plans, including water and sanitary sewer systems. Prepare documentation required for permitting and regulatory review. Coordinate design requirements with engineering, construction, and other project stakeholders. Review and revise civil designs based on project requirements, calculations, and site conditions.
