Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our dynamic infrastructure team. In this vital role, you will support civil engineering projects by assisting with design, construction, and inspection activities. Your technical expertise will help ensure project accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our gearbox team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects that is reverse engineering gearboxes. Responsibilities Assist in developing and reviewing construction plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Schematics tools. Support project scheduling and construction management efforts by tracking progress, updating timelines, and coordinating resources to meet project milestones. Conducting measurements of parts for gearbox rebuilds. Perform inspection to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures. Collect data related to Gearbox rebuilds. Drawing Blueprints for our machinist. Support the preparation of construction estimates by analyzing project scope and materials requirements. Skills Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation for drafting and designing construction plans. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles including blueprint reading, measuring, blue print drawing. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering plans accurately. Excellent research skills combined with technical writing experience for documenting findings clearly and professionally. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report generation and data analysis. Mechanical knowledge relevant to infrastructure systems enhances understanding of complex project components.
