Job Summary:
Provides academic instruction and student academic support for the Civil Construction Technology program.Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology or a related field. 3 years of recent professional experience in civil construction or heavy civil work such as: site development and earthwork; excavation and grading; utilities (water, sewer, stormwater); roadway, bridge, or infrastructure construction; construction inspection or field engineering. Or a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology or a related field. Prior teaching experience at a community college, technical school, apprenticeship or workforce development program, or college/university. Industry credentials in engineering technology and/or construction. Experience with construction-related software and equipment.Job Specific Task List:
Teaches assigned Civil Construction Technology courses.- (Essential) Participates in curriculum development, maintenance, and assessment.
- (Essential) Provides academic support, advising, and career guidance to students including establishing and maintaining a schedule of office hours.
- (Essential) Participates in college governance by serving on joint, ad hoc, faculty, campus, division and discipline committees.
- (Essential) Participates in student recruitment activities and community outreach in support of the program.
- (Essential) Participates in professional growth activities and maintains awareness of new trends and developments within areas of instructional responsibility.
- (Essential) Coordinates, plans, organizes, and instructs academic courses according to approved course syllabus.
- (Essential) Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing. Works in a professional, collegial, and team-oriented manner.
