Job Description

Responsibilities The AutoCAD Operator performs entry-level drafting and design support tasks for geotechnical engineering projects under the direction of senior staff. This role is primarily office-based and involves preparing engineering drawings, site maps, and technical figures using AutoCAD software. The AutoCAD Operator develops technical drafting skills over time and may assist with additional project-related tasks as experience grows. The role maintains a positive customer service attitude and demonstrates an understanding of ECS Core Values. Responsibilities Assists with drafting and design support for geotechnical and geostructural engineering projects Prepares drawings, figures, and layouts using AutoCAD under supervision Develops site maps, soil boring logs, and soil boring location diagrams Drafts soil profiles and related geotechnical visualizations Assists in preparing engineering drawings (e.g., retaining walls, slopes, foundations, drainage systems) Drafts engineering details and figures for reports and deliverables Supports preparation of reports, drawings, and project documentation Performs other project-related tasks as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications 0 years of related experience High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Engineering Technology, or related field is preferred Training, education, and/or certification in AutoCad is preferred If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Dependable, self-motivated, and responsible work ethic Basic computer proficiency Emerging or developing proficiency in AutoCAD Ability to interpret technical data with guidance Ability to work effectively in teams and independently Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation Military Qualifications The following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education, certification, and licenses requirements from the above section titled "Required Qualifications": E-4 About Us ECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
