Work associated with this position will be directly related to scope and design project assignments for transmission line, fiber-optic cable, and wireless installations as they affect the transmission system, with the primary responsibility of managing contracted Design submittal inbox and distribution. As well as providing support for the system of naming and design documents and records associated with those facilities. This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 1-2 days per week. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $28.00 to $37.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package. The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications: A degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a closely related field is preferred. With a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, 1 year of experience is required. With an Associate's degree in an applicable field, 3 years of experience is required. Without an applicable degree, 5 years of experience is required. Experience must include specific engineering technician experience and demonstrate a wide range of project tasks. With a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, 6 months' experience in the following is required: MicroStation CAD platform or similar program and associated add-on product Maintaining all drawing and engineering records using ProjectWise or similar document management software With an Associate's degree in an applicable field, 3 years' experience in the following is required: MicroStation CAD platform or similar program and associated add-on products Maintaining all drawing and engineering records using ProjectWise or similar document management software Without an applicable degree, 5 years' experience in the following is required: MicroStation CAD platform or similar program and associated add-on products Maintaining all drawing and engineering records using ProjectWise or similar document management software Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Electric Utility sector with an emphasis on structural design. Knowledge of DOE, BPA, NERC, FERC, and other regulatory agency policies, standards, directives, codes and guidelines applicable to public electric utilities, power plants, and transmission systems to carry out a wide range of civil engineering technician assignments associated with transmission line, fiber-optic, and wireless facilities design and analysis.
