GSG Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician III (Construction Recordkeeper) for a contract opportunity supporting a large public infrastructure construction program in Austin. Candidates MUST be able to report to the office in Austin, TX. No applications will be accepted from candidates outside Austin and its greater surrounding areas. Job Description The Engineering Technician III (Construction Recordkeeper) is responsible for maintaining construction project records, processing contract documentation, preparing contractor payment estimates, and supporting construction project administration. This position works closely with inspectors, engineers, and contractors to ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable requirements. Responsibilities Maintain construction project records and filing systems. Process change orders, supplemental agreements, and extra work orders. Prepare monthly and final contractor payment estimates. Coordinate with construction inspectors and contractor personnel. Monitor contractor compliance with EEO, prevailing wage, DBE/SBE, and training program requirements. Prepare reports, correspondence, and supporting documentation. Train less experienced staff and assist with project coordination. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Four (4) years of recordkeeping, bookkeeping, construction administration, engineering support, or related experience. Related college education or technical training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting construction or engineering projects. Experience with contract administration and project documentation. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
