CAD Technician We are looking for a talented CAD Technician that has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for providing support to operations on civil construction projects. What You'll Do
Assist in the site development and access for electric utility projects throughout the country
Create and update models using Trimble Business Center
Perform Takeoff's using Trimble Business Center
Work with customer and field management on schedule development and assist in maintaining during the course of a project
Able to localize a site, verify grades, collect topography and as built information
Collect data from the field to report daily production quantities
Assist field personnel with troubleshooting GPS equipment
Interact with customer on project with positive long-term relationship in mind
Overall be a support mechanism for the Project Supervision and staff
Be willing to take on multiple projects and dedicate the time and efforts to ensure a safe and profitable project with a very satisfied customer
Maintain informational databases, records, general data archives, or files using technical software
Ensure compliance with company, federal, and state codes What You'll Bring
Extensive computer skills to include Acrobat, Microsoft
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Trimble Business Center and SharePoint
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs
Proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Able to travel to various project locations
Proficient with reading civil drawings and understanding Geotech reports
A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology
1-3 years' experience in a civil and/or utility electrical construction environment What You'll Get
