Competitive salary package up to $100,000.00

Position Description:

Join a dynamic team as a Structural Designer, spearheading innovative structural design projects in Birmingham, AL. This role offers the opportunity to conceptualize, develop, and manage detailed plans, layouts, and specifications for industrial structures. You will coordinate closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs adhere to local codes, client standards, and best engineering practices. Your expertise will guide material estimates, project scheduling, and technical documentation—contributing to successful project delivery on time and within budget. This position includes fieldwork, site visits, and providing construction support, all within a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to excellence.

Top Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in structural design for industrial projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk Revit strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of structural detailing for steel and concrete structures, including ability to create steel and concrete drawings
  • Experience managing structural engineering teams on projects of various sizes
  • Ability to interpret structural calculations, vendor drawings, and fabrication submittals
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to visit job sites
