POSITION SUMMARY
Jesse Stutts, Inc. (JSI) is looking for a BIM Draftsman to prepare 3D coordination drawings for electrical work on our projects. The BIM Draftsman will provide drafting/design support using Revit to ensure that the multi-discipline documents prepared meet all required criteria. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The items listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Read architectural and structural floor plans, section and elevations in Bluebeam. Design the system, model and coordinate the project in Revit. Utilize Navisworks to coordinate model content with other trades involved in the project. Perform layout and input of marked-up drawings into Revit in accordance with JSI's BIM Department standards. Produce detailed drawings in 3D including installation instructions as required for prefabrication and field installations. May oversee and track installation progress in accordance with the model and complete a full as-built deliverable. Expected to meet with clients, contractors and other project staff as required to perform their duties. Manage workflow on projects assigned and completes work within estimated hours. Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are adhered to as specified. As a representative of JSI, the successful candidate will be expected to always present themself in a friendly, professional manner. Create and maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external project teams. May perform other duties as assigned.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Certificate or diploma of CAD/BIM proficiency from a technology based educational facility, traditional College, or adequate structural drafting/modeling experience is required. Associates degree in CAD/BIM studies is preferred. A college degree, journeyman's license, or master electrician's license is preferred. 2-3 years or related experience is preferred. Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam and MS Office Suite. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Must have the mental capacity to understand and apply job-related concepts, technologies, instructions, procedures, computer and software operations, input data and create/annotate drawings with a very high degree of accuracy on a consistent basis with high throughput and minimum supervision. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Performance of the required duties will sometimes require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENT
